Plea for help by ‘MP’ was spoof

‘Thomas Jenkins’
A MAN who posed as a Labour MP on the internet has said he was a Landsbanki investor and did it as a cry for help.
Interviewed by rapper Icy Chill on You Tube, ‘Thomas Jenkins MP’ had in his first posting branded offshore banking unsafe.
He yesterday admitted that he was not an MP but would not say who he really was.
‘Given the UK Government’s actions in recent months, I’m afraid that if they knew my true identity they would use anti-terrorist laws to have me sent to Guantanamo Bay,’ he said.
In his latest You Tube posting yesterday, ‘Mr Jenkins’ said that the people responsible for the on-line interviews had money invested with Landsbanki in places such as the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
‘This was a way of protesting,’ he said. ‘Many of the remarks made by Thomas Jenkins MP are not untypical of those being made by many MPs at the moment.’
One had described people who invested money in places such as Guernsey as ‘spivs playing the money markets and exploiting tax havens’, while even Chancellor Alistair Darling had described the Isle of Man as a tax haven in the Irish Sea.

You appear very paranoid. The authorities could trace you in seconds. Your IP address is not that difficult to track. Facial recognition software would identify you in seconds and voice recognition is another tool.
The main point though is that you are a self confessed liar and to be honest are not at all interesting.
This is not Iraq. I don’t think you need to fear MI5/MI6 or any other agency wanting to neautralise you any time soon.

Good god! Really?!? A spoof? Next we’ll be told that the politicians on that current affairs programme Bremner, Bird and Fortune aren’t real!
Of course it was a spoof, it’s painfully obvious it’s so. Doesn’t anybody recognise commentary by satire anymore?!
The “interview” is actually quite funny, in a poignant way. Maybe people should actually watch it before labelling him.

I second that MAC, It is quite funny and to be honest with you why not…A cry for help, what we should be doing is screaming for help.

Seems an odd thing to do, using fraud as away of trying to gain sympathy that he isn’t a “spiv playing the money markets and exploiting tax havens” ?

Actually it was very funny and the man deserves the LDAG gold award, and for anyone interested there is a very good skit on Lyndon Trott on you tube now. Why should depositors not use every tool and action they can to get their hard-earned savings back. Mr Trott, you may well be sticking two fingers up at depositors at this moment in time, but people are getting restless now, and you may well see more positive, head-on action now. Whoever you are Thomas Jenkins MP,(Master imPersonator) well done, it cheered my day up no end and was very clever. Hope you watched it Mt Trott.
