St Martin’s 2, North 1
ST MARTIN’S have their own agenda, but they certainly did Bels a big favour on Saturday.

North still have their destiny in their own hands and the equation is very simple – win their remaining six games and the Priaulx Cup will be theirs once more.

However, it might help Mick Le Prevost and his men that they have a break until 31 January before they play again because they are far from their fluent best at present.

Saints deserved the three points at Blanche Pierre Lane for their second-half performance after an opening period that, Craig Young’s excellent goal aside, produced little quality.

That was a view shared by Colin Fallaize.

‘The best team won it,’ said the Saints coach.

‘We battered them in the second half really and we fully deserved what we got.’
