Driver escapes unhurt as car flips on hill
Tuesday 20th January 2009, 2:29PM GMT.
A MAN had a lucky escape when his car ended up on its roof in Le Val des Terres yesterday.
The 21-year-old was travelling down the hill in a gold Hyundai when the accident happened at 10.33am. ‘The car was on its roof blocking one lane when the police arrived at 10.40,’ said a spokesman for the force.
The road was closed while the incident was dealt with. The driver was said to be unharmed. He has now been questioned, but it is still unclear how the accident happened.
‘We cannot give a reason for the accident at this time,’ said the spokesman. ‘However, there was heavy rain and the roads were wet.’
The road was reopened at 11.15am.
Sand was spread on oil on the tarmac.

Voice For Victims
Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
Probably another example of the appalling standard of driving on the rock.
