TICKETS for this year’s Martel Maides Dancefloor Challenge go on sale at 10am tomorrow, but you’d better be quick if you want one: last year they sold out in eight minutes.
The event, organised by the Guernsey Amateur Dancesport Association, is in its fourth year and has become of Guernsey’s most popular charity fund-raisers.
‘The reason it took eight minutes for us to sell out last year was that we couldn’t answer the phones quick enough.
‘We had 350 people on the waiting list in the end,’ said Gada chairman Jamie Le Tissier.
He said his phone would be switched off until 10am sharp.
Rehearsals get under way this weekend for the 11 personalities and their dance partners.
Among personalities taking to the floor on 25 April at Beau Sejour will be Island FM’s Richard Harding and Gary Burgess, from BBC Radio Guernsey.
