YOU cannot beat a well-worked short corner routine.
In Redbridge Vixens’ Investec Women’s Division One match with AP Group Panthers, it was Panthers’ prowess at penalty corners that proved crucial as they edged the encounter 4-3.
Their goals came courtesy of Kath Guille, Greta Raath and Georgia Smith with two.
Vixens are much improved this season and Jayne Carter continued her free scoring with a brace.
‘There is a real lift in the Vixens’ game at the moment and the whole team are working well together to play some of their best hockey,’ said Carter.
‘Panthers also recognised this and complimented us on our performance after the game. The result could just have easily been a Vixens’ win.’
