HMS DARING made its first visit to island waters this morning.
The Royal Navy’s newest ship, which is affiliated to the island, was off St Peter Port from 8am.
The ship has been on sea trials and will be back in its home port of Portsmouth tomorrow.
People from the island were taken to the ship this morning for a look around. The affiliation helps to strengthen ties with local communities and the Navy also provides benefits for organisations such as naval associations, youth groups and charities.
