Six readers win a chance of a million
Wednesday 28th January 2009, 2:29PM GMT.
THE winners of the Guernsey Press competition for tickets for the Les Bourgs Million Pound Lottery have been chosen.
The six winning entries were picked out yesterday by Jack Honeybill, chairman of the Friends of Les Bourgs Hospice and organiser of the competition.
Deputy Honeybill (pictured) was delighted with the strong response to the draw.
‘I just think it was a terrific idea by the Guernsey Press and isn’t it marvellous that readers have entered into the spirit of it,’ he said.
The lottery has raised £380,000 for Les Bourgs, which will be spent on a friends’ room for the new hospice building.
The winning ticket numbers will be announced at a special party on Saturday 14 February at St James.
