Flower shop robbed three times in three months

THE owner of ALP Flowers is offering a reward after his greenhouse was burgled for the third time in as many months.
Alan Le Poidevin (pictured) was left frustrated and angry on Tuesday morning upon discovering that the small shop at the front of the greenhouse, which is open to the public during the day and at weekends, had been targeted.
In all three incidents, a bolt cutter had been used to open a milk churn used as an honesty box.
‘You have to question the mentality of these people,’ said Mr Le Poidevin.
‘I’m more then certain that it is the same people who have done all three because they’ve used the same method.’
Mr Le Poidevin said he had to tighten up security after the first incident in November.

This is absolutely disgusting. These people are obviously low life who do not have the intelligence to realise what they are doing do the island when they carry out acts like this.

It will be a sad if honesty boxes were to disappear from the island just because some lowlives cant keep there grubby hands off other peoples property.I really hope that they are caught and punished .

I agree that these idiots are going to ruin something which is special to Guernsey. Put CCTV in – catch the thieves and then the police can prosecute them.
I love our Hedge Veg stalls – anyone who is thieving should be punished severely by the courts – not just fined but also community service.
