A COUPLE who live in Le Truchot were woken early yesterday when a BMW saloon smashed open their front door.
On hearing the noise, Miguel and Maria Freitas said they went downstairs to find the door open.
‘Imagine you were in bed and heard that bang,’ said Mrs Freitas, 34.
‘It made us jump – it looked like a dream.’
The incident happened at about 2.45am and the Fire and Rescue Service was called to make the area safe.
- A man has been charged with drink-driving as a result of the incident and is due to appear in the Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
