Hussey in Welsh national squad trial
Wednesday 4th February 2009, 2:29PM GMT.
FORMER Guernsey, Nerine Trust and School of Excellence player Kerrie Hussey has been asked to go to the Welsh national netball trials.
The 25-year-old (pictured), who has lived in Swansea for the past three-and-a-half years, is eligible under the residency rules to play for Wales.
While playing for her county team, Afan Nedd Tawe, at a nationally organised tournament, she was scouted by one of the national selectors and asked to attend trials.
These will be held on Saturday.
‘On her last trip home, Kerrie came and trained with the island squad and has still got her never-say-die attitude to the game and it was great to see her on court,’ said Gill Queripel.
