Sarnians moving up the national ladder and into the top 50
Thursday 5th February 2009, 2:29PM GMT.
FOUR Sarnians have made the top 50 in their age group of the latest Badminton England rankings.
All three of the Le Tissier family – Glenn (pictured in action), Luke and Chloe – along with Emily Trebert are in the upper echelons of their respective categories, which have been calculated to the end of December.
The Le Tissiers and Treberts joined several English players at the Jersey Junior Open last weekend, with much success.
In the under-13 boys’ singles, Luke Le Tissier beat fellow Sarnian Jordan Trebert 21-13 in the deciding game of the final.
That should increase the victor’s U-13 singles ranking position, which was 23 at the end of December.
The two Guernsey players then joined forces to win the doubles event.
Emily Trebert lost to higher-ranked Eve O’Sullivan from Warwickshire in her under-15 girls’ singles group.
