markletissier.jpgTHE Guernsey Football Association is ready to face the island’s football community to discuss the future of the game.

The GFA has called its first open meeting for Tuesday 17 February at the Rovers AC Clubhouse at Port Soif (7.30pm start) to discuss progress made on its four-year development plan and anything else in local football.

‘Football has gone through a great deal of change since the end of last season,’ said GFA chairman Mark Le Tissier (pictured). ‘Some of the changes we’ve made we think have worked well, others we know haven’t been such a success.

‘We’re prepared to take criticism but we also want to hear ideas – people’s views should help us to shape the game and move forward.

‘We want some feedback on this from people in football at all levels – within the clubs,

spectators, parents, and particularly those from outside the GFA structure in unaffiliated football.’

County Secretary Neil Laine, as the leader of the GFA’s Delivery Team, has prepared an update report on the first six months of implementation of the four-year plan.
