GOOD weather attracted many spectators to the Guernsey Kart and Motor Club’s second motocross race of the season on Valentine’s Day.
Connor Gill took his KTM auto to second place in every race with Jack Wilson finishing third as Riley King dominated all day for three wins.
In the junior class, George Bates rode extremely well all day long.
Despite a bad start in the first race, he pulled himself back to third place and in the second race overtook Louie Waddingham for the lead, though he was unable to hold it as Waddingham claimed all three wins.
Newcomers to this class, Joshua Lamborne and Alex Poole, also improved on their speed, posting faster lap times in each race as the day went on.
Bradley Matthews had a very good day’s racing in his first year in the intermediate 85s, finishing second to Jersey rider Ryan Caurel who again swept the board. Unfortunately Jersey rider Connor Hamon ended his day prematurely when he hurt his ankle in the second race.
It cannot get much closer in the senior 85s with Guernsey’s Mike Dempster tied on points with Alderney’s Daniel Robinson.
