JACQUES OGIER was the hat-trick hero on a joyous night for Vale Rec at Blanche Pierre Lane yesterday.
Having slipped out of title contention in the Sure Under-16 Development League, winning the Normandie Cup was a very welcome consolation for the green-and-yellows and a fully merited one.
Vale always looked the more threatening side on a night when North were not their usual fluent selves and hardly forced the opposition’s keeper Andy Rumens into a save.
‘North are a very good side. They have beaten us three times this season so it was nice to get one over on them tonight,’ said Rec coach Carl Le Tissier.
