St Martin’s 2, Bels 0
IF BELS are going to keep their hands on the Priaulx Cup they are going to have to do it the hard way.

Their defeat at St Martin’s on Saturday means that they are going to have to beat North tomorrow night to force a title play-off with their great rivals.

‘We’ve got to do it the hard way,’ said Bels captain Sam Cochrane.

‘It [the North match] was always going to be a must win for us. It’s now a play-off and we’ve now got to beat them twice.’

Bels ran the show at Blanche Pierre Lane, especially during the second half, but simply could not find the back of the net.

That concerned Cochrane.

‘The result is a little bit disappointing,’ he said.

‘To be honest we had more of the game but we couldn’t get a goal. We had shots but nothing was falling right.

‘We’re not scoring and we’ve got to pick it up. We’re trying everything, but nothing is coming off.

‘But fair play to Saints. They worked hard.’
