GUERNSEY got the job done as they eased past Alderney 5-0 on Saturday to book themselves into the Muratti final.
The victory was never in doubt, but the Greens put in a solid performance at a sun-drenched Mount Hale to ensure that they will face Jersey at the Track on 4 May.
‘I said from the off that we would come here to do a job and, to be honest, we did it very well,’ said Guernsey coach Tony Vance.
‘Full credit to the boys – they did everything we asked of them. We got our just rewards.’
The Sarnians scored four goals in the first half courtesy of Craig Young, Dom Heaume and Rangers striker Ross Allen with two, which effectively sealed the game.
The only black spot for the visitors came in the first minute of the second half, when Bels star Dave Rihoy was dubiously sent off by Jersey referee Andy Legg for stamping.
Rihoy might now be banned for the Muratti final.
Down to 10 men, Guernsey’s grip on the game loosened, but Allen did manage to wrap up his hat-trick towards the end of the proceedings.

very strange how a Jersey ref sends off the best player in the Channel Isles… &who do we play in the final??… the crapauds….
It is officially a fix…
& isnt it about time the semi final was scrapped? It is a waste of time & money – if Guernsey want warm up game they can go to UK & get a better one – the semi seems to cost us dear each time with injuries & now suspensions – its a formality anyway!!

Clear stamp!!
Way I look at it if Alderney Nomads were playing Muratti football all season (In the top GUERNSEY LEAGUE) it would be a lot more of a interesteing fixture… POPULATION TWO THOUSAND – SIXTY THOUSAND…………….. BLA BLA BLA………..
