We can’t thank everyone enough

ALMOST £10,000 has already been raised for Georgina’s Gang.
Ian and Tania Pearce launched the charity earlier this year with the aim of raising £90,000 to adapt their family home at Cobo to meet the needs of their 12-year-old daughter, who has a rare degenerative condition.
Tania Pearce said making their story public through the Guernsey Press hadn’t been an easy decision, but it was benefiting Georgina.
‘We have been so moved by the response, we can’t thank the island enough. Many events are being planned, some are smaller than others but everyone’s help is equally appreciated,’ said Mrs Pearce.
She said they had received an enormous amount of encouragement from so many people.
The amount raised includes proceeds from a Hint of Pink fund-raising ball taking place tomorrow night.
- Specsavers Children’s Charitable Foundation has donated a two-day trip to Coronation Street as the prize in a competition to raise money for Georgina’s Gang. It costs £5 to enter and you can find the entry form in today’s Guernsey Press.
