Winch joins injury doubts

PAUL OCKLEFORD goes into Sunday’s Junior Muratti with a few injury doubts surrounding his side.
The under-18 Guernsey coach said that there were question marks hanging over Greg Roland, Matthew Chilcott and Luke Winch before Sunday’s match at Springfield.
Winger Winch featured in Wednesday night’s Deloitte CI Champions League final and was one of St Martin’s better players against Bels, who went on to win on penalties, but limped off in the second half after collecting a knock.
‘Apart from the injuries [the squad is looking good] considering it’s been a difficult season as well,’ said Ockleford.
‘But I’m quietly confident that we can have a good performance.’
In last year’s Junior Muratti at The Track, the home side dominated the early phases of the game and went a goal up through Sylvans striker Wayne Bishop.
But the Greens proceeded to go off the boil and Jersey went on to win 3-2.
