Demore tipped for top

GUERNSEY picked up four ABA Western Counties Championship belts at the weekend.
Matt Jennings and Bradley Watson won their titles by default when their opponents failed to turn up to the event in Weston-Super-Mare.
Meanwhile Callum Pearson and Gage Demore (pictured) produced stunning displays to lift their belts.
It is the first time that the Amalgamated Boys’ Club will have four Western Counties area champions training at the same time in their St Martin’s hall.
‘It’s superb,’ said Guernsey coach Graham Guilbert.
‘They are all working hard and it reflects on the whole club. Everyone is working together, there are no arguments and it’s all going smoothly.’
Jennings was due to face Greg Welling for the cruiserweight title and Watson was supposed to meet Exeter’s Aaron Seldon in their flyweight clash, but both were no shows.
‘They were disappointed,’ said Guilbert about his boxers.
