A GUERNSEY company could prove to be the final nail in the coffin for one celebrity TV presenter.

Creative Coffins launched a year ago and produces eco-friendly personalised and printed carton-board coffins.

When they sent a miniature version of a personalised coffin to the Friday Night with Jonathan Ross team they were quickly in business.

‘Within a couple of days I received a phone call from the Friday Night with Jonathan Ross team to ask for a full-sized version to be sent to them right away,’ said Oliver Coles, sales director of Creative Coffins.

Even then there was no guarantee it would be featured on the show.

‘They get lots of things sent to them every week and during filming on Thursday night he uses a few of them. Whichever gets the best audience reaction is used when the show goes out the following night,’ said Mr Coles.

He was contacted on the Friday morning with news it had made the final cut.

‘He took the gift very well, and even joked it would be ironic if he fell over and died whilst trying out the coffin for size. At one stage he said he may not need it as he is immortal,’ said Mr Coles.

Following the appearance on the show, which has 3.5m. viewers, the company’s website had thousands of additional hits over the weekend.
