AT JUST three years old, Mr Patchy the teddy bear has led an adventure-filled life.

He travelled Europe in the Bubblegum Rally and was kidnapped, microwaved and lost numerous times. However, he has always made his way back home.

But now his owner, three-year-old Oli Harrison, has not seen him for nearly two weeks.

His parents, Brian and Chantal, placed an advert in the Guernsey Press earlier this week to help them find their son’s much-loved teddy.

‘We went to the La Mare de Carteret car boot sale two Saturdays ago,’ said Mrs Harrison. ‘We are not sure whether he made it back to the car. Then we went to the Forest Methodist Church sale and we never saw him again.

‘Oli has had him since he was born. He was part of a group of toys that were Velcroed onto his cot.

‘He has had lots of adventures.’

Shortly before Mr Patchy disappeared, he had won USD20 million on the Nigerian version of Deal Or No Deal.

As part of my BA Hons degree in Nigerian Culture, Student Bob can help claim these funds, but I’ll need someone to act as Mr Patchy’s next-of-kin, oh, and you’ll have to stump up the legal costs of, I dunno, £10,000 and a widescreen telly in exchange for 10% of the winnings.
