PAUL MOONEY is refusing to give anything away as Guernsey look to retain the Women’s Muratti at the Track on Monday.
The Greens beat Jersey last year for the first time since 2001 thanks to a wonder goal from star player Rochelle Vaudin.
Mooney (pictured), the island’s development officer, took over the reins as the Guernsey women’s coach from Ian Champion midway through the season.
And the former Royal Marine commando does not want to give ‘the old enemy’ any help so he is not going to name his squad until Monday morning.
‘Because, like me, they will alter the team they are playing,’ he said.
‘Hopefully they won’t have the time to react to it.
‘We’ve got the home advantage. Why be helpful?’
Mooney watched Guernsey champions Sylvans play First Tower in last weekend’s dramatic Women’s Upton at Springfield.
