LIFE will never be the same again for Liam Treadwell.

The 23-year-old jobbing jockey caused one of the greatest ever upsets in Grand National history when he rode 100-1 outside chance, Mon Mome, to victory at Aintree at the beginning of last month.

The last horse to win the biggest race in the world at such odds was Foinavon in 1963.

It made the very amiable Treadwell an overnight celebrity.

And the Guernsey public will get to see Treadwell in action at this Bank Holiday Monday’s Guernsey Race Meeting at L’Ancresse.

‘It’s been manic after the Grand National but I’m not complaining at all,’ said Treadwell (pictured).

‘I’m doing Question of Sport next week. I’d sign autographs before at race meetings, but I’m doing a few more now.

‘There are so many well-wishers. I’m just enjoying the experience while it lasts.’
