IT was just £3.99 and that might not mean a lot to some people.
But to Viv Lewis it demonstrates her faith in humanity.
A month after she was overcharged for two baguettes she had bought at La Baguette in Le Friquet, she had her change returned.
The staff surprised her when she returned to the shop to buy another baguette and handed her an envelope with the change in it.
‘I walked in and the guy handed me an envelope with £3.99 written on it,’ she said.
‘I was very impressed with their honesty. With all the customers they must get, to remember me and pay back the change is fantastic.
‘It is a lesson in honestly. I was absolutely overwhelmed,’ she said.

Voice for Victims is a campaign aimed at promoting the rights of those affected by child sexual abuse.
Good for them.
But that has also got to be the cheapest advertising ever!
