TRIPLE FIA World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx gave two of Europe’s top golfers a masterclass in driving at Brands Hatch Race Circuit on Tuesday, ahead of the BMW PGA Championship, which begins today at Wentworth Club.
Ryder Cup teammates Miguel Angel Jimenez and Oliver Wilson, who battled for the 2008 BMW PGA Championship title in a play-off, won by the Spaniard, went head to head again one year on at the Kent race circuit.
Following the FIA WTCC race in Pau this weekend, BMW UK driver Priaulx was at Brands Hatch to give the golfers the ultimate driving lesson in a powerful BMW M3, after which Jimenez and Wilson had the chance to put their alternative driving skills to the test on the well-known race track.
‘These two may be world class drivers on the golf course, but it was clear from today that they are both skilled at this type of driving too,’ Priaulx said.
‘It’s always great to come back to Brands Hatch and we’ve had a lot of fun. I wish them both a successful week at Wentworth.’
