TOMORROW’S Itex Rotary Walk is expected to see a record number of entries.

More than 670 people are due to set off from St Peter Port from 4.30am.

Nine charities will benefit this year and walkers of all ages will be participating.

Last year the event raised more than £40,000 and organisers hope to match that.

Due to the exceptional interest, organisers have had to stop accepting entries.

Organising committee chairman Richard Parker said the response this year had been outstanding.

‘It’s been a lot of work to get to this stage and now we’re ready. Best of luck to the walkers – all 670 of them. We’re hopeful for a great day and a memorable one for everyone involved,’ he said.
