Adam ClarkADAM CLARK has been selected to play for the England under-16s against Ireland.

The Elizabeth College first team player (pictured) has been involved with the England set up all season. The 16-year-old  found out this week that he had been picked for an England training camp in Ireland that begins on 25 June and contains a series of matches with the Irish.

‘It’s quite an achievement, I didn’t think I’d get there,’ he said. ‘I didn’t think I’d have a hope. The last few years I’ve been working to get there. It’s pretty amazing.’

Clark plays inside forward for England.

He went to a warm weather training camp in Gibraltar at the start of the year and he was also selected for a recent international tournament in Spain, which also featured the hosts, Germany and Holland.

‘That was the best hockey experience I’ve ever had,’ he said.
