Trademarks go online at Guernsey Registry
Wednesday 10th June 2009, 2:30PM BST.
A RANGE of trademark services is now available online through the Guernsey Registry.
Integration of the first phase of intellectual property online services will allow users to carry out online trademark searches, register trademark applications and manage their trademark portfolios online.
Commerce and Employment minister Carla McNulty Bauer said it was great development.
‘It is a credit to the team at Enterprise Registry Solutions and the registry, who have worked extremely hard to ensure that the integration happened seamlessly for the registry’s existing clients.’
Richard Wood, professional services director at ERS, said the trademark initiative was further evidence of Guernsey’s determination to optimise its competitive position internationally.
‘Over the next 12 months, the intention is to plug a number of new registers into the platform including patents, limited partnerships and limited liability partnerships.
‘Other registers are also in the planning stage.’
