SUPPORT for this month’s Pink Ladies’ Sunset Coastal Walk is growing – and there is still plenty of time to enter.

So far, organisers have received 1,350 registration forms for the event, which is organised in conjunction with the Guernsey Press.

Co-organiser and Pink Ladies treasurer Doreen Le Poidevin said it was not too late for women to sign up to the charity event on Saturday 20 June, which last time saw more than 2,000 step out to raise funds for local breast cancer treatment.

‘Due to popular demand the closing date has now been extended and late entries will still be accepted,’ she said, including entries on the day. ‘It’s going to be such a brilliant night. We have the Devotees playing in The Square at the end of the walk and BBC Guernsey morning show host Gary Burgess will be there to cheer on the ladies at the start and at the finish.’

Among the hundreds signed-up so far is a team of 10 women from RBC Trustees (Guernsey) Limited.

The women will be walking the full 10.5-mile route from Grandes Rocques to The Square in Town and hope to raise as much money as possible.
