CAROLINE KYLE’s charity work has earned her an invitation to 11, Downing Street today.

The 15-year-old, with the help of her Grammar School classmates, raised £3,000 for Lawrence’s Roundabout Well Appeal, which raises money to improve water supplies in Africa in memory of Lawrence Prifti, who died aged eight from a rare degenerative condition.

To celebrate funding its 25th well, the UK charity decided to host a celebratory party and, because of Caroline’s involvement, she was top of the list when it came to invitations.

‘Because she was instrumental in raising that money, she was invited,’ said her mother, Jane, who will escort her to the 6pm reception at the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s residence.

They received the invitation unexpectedly last month.

‘It was an opportunity which couldn’t really be turned down. It is a real honour for Caroline. It is because of her achievements we are going,’ said Mrs Kyle.
