Bernie PriceLOCAL rider Bernie Price had to deal with extreme conditions at Oulton Park in the latest round of the Thundersport GB-Streetfighter A Class Championship.

In pouring rain, Price (pictured) picked up two fifth-place finishes at the Cheshire circuit which sees him in fifth position in the table.

There were a reported 125 incidents on the dangerously wet track during the meeting.

‘I couldn’t see anything,’ said Price.

‘I was riding like a wuss but at least I stayed on.

‘I was hoping to do better. I would have been disappointed with the result if it was dry.’

The races were shown on Motors TV, channel 413, last night.

Price’s next race is at Snetterton on 11 and 12 July.

‘That’s another one where my bike should go well,’ said Price.

‘The one after that is Donington and all the tracks coming up now are good for my bike.’Round-up: Guernseyman struggles in wet at Oulton Park while kart star sets a quick pace at Track
