POLICE want help identifying about 150 items that they suspect have been stolen.

These include an electric guitar, i-Pods, game consoles, mobile phones, digital cameras, satellite navigation equipment, tools and toolboxes, binoculars, sunglasses and a set of darts.

The haul of goods resulted from police inquiries and searches following the arrest of two people who have been charged with theft-related offences.

‘We would ask people who believe they might have had property stolen, but have not reported it to police, to come forward,’ said Detective Constable Jason Savident. ‘We believe that some of this property might have been taken from insecure vehicles and the owners might not even have realised it has happened.’

Some of the items have been identified and traced back to crimes, some reported in January.

Detectives involved in the case are in particular concentrating on thefts from vehicles.

Anyone who has lost items they now suspect were stolen is asked to call CID on 725111.
