TEAM Guernsey is at the top of the medal table at the Dance World Cup in Jersey.
More than 160 competitors travelled to the island for the event, which concludes tomorrow.
After the first day, Team Guernsey had won eight gold medals, five silvers and five bronzes.
One of the gold medals was awarded to the island’s entry, Do your Thing, in the open group tap class.
The performance was choreographed by student Sammie Redhead (pictured) and it was awarded with 97 marks, which has been the highest score given in the competition.
Avril Earl, one of the four co-ordinators and teachers, said the team was very pleased with how the competition had gone so far.
‘We had so much on yesterday as we had a lot of entries in the song, dance and tap classes,’ she said.
‘It’s fantastic as we are currently one of the top countries in the competition.’
