HEATHER WATSON has reached the quarter-finals of the Aegon Pro-Series tournament in Felixstowe.
The Guernsey star was taken to three sets by French 17-year-old Morgane Pons, but she came through to win 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.
Watson now faces number four seed Raffaella Bindi.
The 30-year-old Italian, who is currently ranked 582nd in the world having been as high as 411th in the singles list six years ago, also needed a deciding set to come through her second round match with Britain’s Samantha Vickers.tennis
