Inter-firms relay race

THEIR lead-off man has got the running bug and the Post Office keep pulling away from the rest.

They won their fourth straight Collins Stewart Inter-Firm Town Relay last evening from 31 rival teams and, once Tristan Robilliard had given them a solid advantage on the lead leg, there never seemed any doubt that they would win again.

The real race was behind the quartet of Robilliard, Peter Guilbert, Sam Dowding and James de Garis who crossed the finish line in an unofficial 21min. 20sec., 45sec. ahead of Specsavers, who stole the runner-up spot from Team Tuesdays on the back of a fantastic uphill sprint finish from Pete Beausire, who pipped Dan Smith almost on the line at the top of Smith Street.
