Priaulx hoping for a miracle

ANDY PRIAULX has admitted he needs some divine help to win back his world touring car title this year.0808291

In his regular column for The Sun he said: ‘I know to win back my title I would need a miracle. ‘But these do happen and if one is coming my

direction I will be there to make the most of it.’

But it is not just motor racing on his mind these days, with concerns over the health of his father-in-law, Loui Le Le Lacheur.

‘He had a rather serious operation in London and the whole family went there to be near the

hospital.

‘At first we were worried as it was not all plain sailing. But thankfully the doctors did a great job and Loui, who is a really tough cookie, pulled through and is now back on Guernsey and getting stronger by the day.’

Priaulx is back in action on the track in Germany on 6 September.

STEVE MAHY shot a pair of two under par rounds of 68 in yesterday’s

prestigious 36 holes strokeplay competition at L’Ancresse.

The island star won the Le Riche Cup off scratch by three strokes from Bobby Eggo and he would have won the Tradesmen’s off

handicap had he been permitted to do so.
