Mixed results for Jersey daytrippers

TWO wins, a draw and a loss was the combined result of the four Guernsey sides in pre-season friendly action in Jersey on Saturday.0700404

The victories came from Division One champions North who edged past St Peter by a solitary goal, and Rangers, who thrashed St Lawrence 10-0 with Ross Allen hitting four and hat-tricks for Shane Billien and Ryan Gontier.

Bels, meanwhile, emerged with a 2-2 draw against Trinity and new side Athletics lost 2-1 to CI champions Jersey Scottish at the Airport Ground.

Scottish led 2-0 at the break before Danny Marquand pulled one back on 52 minutes and Steve Ogier’s young side proceeded to dominate the rest of the game.

In Guernsey, St Martin’s won their annual Jack Loveridge Trophy encounter with First Tower 4-0 with Dom Heaume scoring twice, and one apiece from Ryan Tippett and Jake Ellis.
