Cut training budget and suffer, says CGi

CUTTING the GTA University Centre’s budget would have a devastating effect on the island, the States has been warned.0462895
There are question marks over its future funding after Commerce and Employment announced it wanted consultants to assess its value for money.
But with the island gripped by the economic downturn, business leaders have said it is vital to be able to upskill the workforce.
Confederation of Guernsey Industry chairman Peter Budwin wanted the review to be an opportunity to increase the agency’s budget.
‘If you look at the history of the States, it has a bad track record on maintaining assets in the island. I don’t think anyone would disagree,’ he said.
‘This is a classic example. If they don’t increase the funding, it’s a disaster waiting to happen.’

Another one after more taxpayer money.

Time to trim down the administration loaded ex Training Agency.

Why is it duplicating or taken over much of the CFE work?

Clearly Mt Budwin doesn’t mind screwing the taxpayer for more money.

Ha ha At least two posters with the right idea.

Wherever do these jumped up people get the audacity to speak as they do:

Been listening to Darling and Mandelson methinks.
It is the UK who benefits in the end, we, the taxpayer foots the bill, and when trained go to anywhere but Guernsey.

they make them like trained monkeys steal from Guernsey taxpayers and then do a flit to elsewhere. Very clever,

Another one we aught to get rid of-
