The horticultural, arts and crafts and children’s sections were judged yesterday.
Show organiser Brenda Sparks said entries were up by 250 on last year.
‘We have had to try and find room for all the classes,’ she said.
‘It’s very nice to see so many people put in so much hard work.
‘Hopefully, the number will increase again next year.’
She said it was fantastic that islanders had continued to support the event, which had developed into more of a village show.
‘It has been about six years since we had the big show in the field with tents and the third year that we have held it at the St Martin’s Community Centre.
‘It would be nice to go back to having tents, but I don’t think we ever will because it’s a lot of hard work to find the time and the people.’
Among the exhibits entered in this year’s show were traditional cakes and crafts, vegetables, fruits and flowers.
The children’s section has been split into juniors and seniors.
