MONTHS of planning and preparation ensured three fabulous days of dressage competition at Forest Farm, courtesy of the Farnons.

The event, which is now seen as one of the most prestigious and anticipated events of the Guernsey dressage calendar, was attended by competitors from Jersey and Guernsey.

A number of young riders from La Carriere Stables, encouraged by proprietor Jenny Froome, enjoyed numerous successes on ponies provided by the stables.

UK judges commented on how pleasing it was to find both juniors and seniors alike being encouraged to compete, not only in the Channel Islands but also in UK competitions.

Eleven-year-old rider Georgia Renouf achieved an amazing seven first placings over the weekend on her pony Jack Daniels.

Lucie Fox Pegg, in her last competition on Susie Farnon’s Midnight Brilliance, continued her successful summer.

After her superb performances at Hickstead and the UK under-21s, Fox Pegg won the Elementary Championship, while winning reserve in the elementary section on her new horse Maistic.
