Bakery worker badly hurt in Grand Bouet motorcycle crash

A 22-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist is in hospital after an accident yesterday.
The unnamed man, believed to be a Portuguese national, was only yards from Warry’s, where he works, when the accident happened.
He had just finished his shift at 11.30am when his Honda bike collided with a white minivan driving along the Grand Bouet.
The bike was damaged and the rider was seriously injured.
An ambulance was quickly on the scene and the casualty arrived at hospital just after noon.
The driver of the van was unhurt.
The road was closed while the incident was dealt with.
A spokesman said yesterday that police were interviewing the driver of the van and investigations were ongoing.
They would like any witnesses to contact them on 725111.
