NEW findings have revealed island youngsters’ sporting heroes.
Each year Education together with the HSSD carry out a survey to gauge the views, attitudes and beliefs of young people in Guernsey.
Over 1,000, ranging in age from 10 to 17 years answer 100 questions on all aspects of their lives.
This year the survey was part-sponsored by Guernsey Adolescent Smokefree Project which wanted to gather information on what makes young people tick.
For the first time, they were asked about sporting heroes and sports teams.
The top three heroes were Matt Le Tissier, Andy Priaulx and Dale Garland, who were very clear winners of the poll, said GASP’s Alun Williams.
There were only a couple of votes between the trio but Matt pipped Andy and Dale at the post.
The information regarding favourite teams will be circulated next week.
