Second seed sees off Watson

HEATHER WATSON gave home player and No. 2 seed Valerie Tetreault an almighty scare yesterday in the first round of the $50,000 Saguenay event in Canada.
Guernsey’s Junior US Open champion came through qualifying to reach the main draw of the event and, after winning the first set against Tetreault, she took the Canadian to a tiebreak in the second before losing that and the third set 7-5.
