Collins’ clean sweep

GUERNSEY’S bowlers swept to big wins on the opening day of the alternative Island Games tournament in the Isle of Wight.
In the men’s event Garry Collins (pictured) whitewashed his Ynys Mon opponent Steve Rossington 21-0.
Meanwhile, the Sarnian four of Shaun Bichard, Steve Desperques, Kris Bichard and Dan de la Mare beat the Western Isles 37-6.
The rest of the Sarnian squad comprises men’s pairing Todd Priaulx and Chris Dyer and, on the women’s side, singles entrant Shirley Petit, pair Anne Bewey and Gwen de la Mare and four Jean Simon, Heidi Le Noury, Joan Shaw and Lianna Bichard.
