SARNIANS are already looking a good tip to win the new indoor nets women’s league at the ICG Centre.
In a close match with Cenkos, it was great to see the teams starting to use the nets more to switch possession.
With some good centre court play and fine shooting by both sets of shooters, it was always going to be the team that managed to force the errors that would ultimately win – and this was Sarnians.
In the final quarter, they turned up the pressure and managed to run out winners by 35-27.
In the same league, Magnificent 7 took on new team Autumn Gold and with the experience of Magnificent 7 telling they won 48-17.
In the final game of the night, Dark Horses took on The Specialists in a game played in great spirit and the only difference was the quality of the shooting.
Dark Horses were converting their shots and Specialist were not, as the 17-2 scoreline emphasised.
