Watson eases to Glasgow victory

HEATHER WATSON cruised through her first qualifying round at the $25,000 Aegon Pro Series Glasgow event yesterday.
The Junior US Open champion blitzed fellow Briton Alicia Robinson 6-0, 6-0.
Watson, who is seeded 10 in the qualifying draw, now meets the top seed Mona Barthel, a 19-year-old German who is ranked 363rd in the world.
The Sarnian is currently 607th in the world rankings and rising quickly.
