achievement awardsTHE closing date for business entries in next year’s Guernsey Awards for Achievement is just around the corner on Wednesday 4 November.

A workshop last month to provide support for those interested in entering proved very successful, according to The Guernsey Event Company, but it is still keen to encourage anyone still thinking of entering to start work on their nomination forms now.

Commerce and Employment is responsible for staging the awards and minister Carla McNulty Bauer said she was eager to make sure no potential entrants missed out.

‘Any business which can demonstrate achievement or success from a wide range of criteria really should consider these awards to give themselves and their staff the recognition they deserve.

‘The process of filling out the nomination form is in itself rewarding and there is plenty of help available to anyone wishing to put themselves forward.’

* Nominations for the Specsavers unsung hero award need to be in by Friday 27 November, while the closing date for the Guiton Ambassador of the Year is Thursday 31 December.
