Reynolds is lined up for a comeback

Jordan ReynoldsPLAYER/COACH Jordan Reynolds (pictured) will start in Guernsey’s London Two South West rugby match at Guildford today.

He has been named at centre for the match against the team which lies second in the table.

His presence on the field is a boost for Guernsey side aiming to hit back after last week’s 27-18 defeat at the hands of Weybridge Vandals.

‘It is a big bonus to have him and BC [outside half Blair Campbell] pulling the strings from midfield,’ said captain Simon Sharrott, who continues to fulfil a coaching role while he recovers from a long-term injury.

He admitted that last week’s defeat was down to the pack suffering at the hands of their opponents.

‘Luckily for us our back line is firing and we still created chances, but everything was on the back foot and it was a long day at the office for the 15 players on the park.’

Sharrott hopes that the pack will do better today as Guernsey strive for a win, which he conceded they need after only picking up three in their first seven matches.
