Watson in BBC top 10

HEATHER WATSON is one of 10 contenders for this year’s BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The Junior US Open tennis champion was yesterday named on the shortlist, which also includes world champion diver Tom Daley.
Previous winners include Wayne Rooney, Andy Murray and Theo Walcott.
The accolade, which is awarded by the BBC in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust, will be handed to the winner at the Sports Personality of the Year event in Sheffield on 13 December.
The winner is chosen by a panel chaired by BBC Sport’s John Inverdale.
