CANADIAN Shahier Razik has ended Chris Simpson’s progress in the Coronation London Open event.
The Guernseyman (pictured)
won his opening match at the Cumberland Lawn Tennis and Squash Club in London, beating Rob Sutherland of Wales 11-7, 11-9, 11-7 in 45min.
‘I started slowly, going 7-2 down in the first game, but from then on I feel like I played good attacking squash and dominated most of the match from then on,’ he said.
But Razik, seeded 3/4 and someone Simpson has never yet got the better of, proved too tough. Razik won 11-7, 11-3, 11-4 in 41min.
